Technique Throwback Thursday April 2024

Heute zeige ich Euch meine Karte zur Technique Throwback Thursday Challenge. Im April geht es darin um eine Karte, die eine tolle Tiefe hat und dabei komplett flach zusammengelegt werden kann. Ich habe beschlossen, eine Babykarte zu machen.

Today I am sharing with you my card for this month's Technique Throwback Thursday challenge. In april it's about a card that has an amazing depth but can be folded flat completly. I decided to make a baby card.

Wie auch Jennifer in ihrem Video habe ich eine oben gefaltete Karte gemacht, so kann man sie toll aufstellen. 

Just like Jennifer in her video I made a top folding card to be able to put on display.

Den "Mechanismus" habe ich aus dunkel-lila farbenem Cardstock gemacht. In den Hintergrund habe ich den aus dem selben Cardstock gestanzten Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop von LawnFawn gesetzt, den ich mit silber-blauem Glitter-Cardstock hinterlegt habe. Dann habe ich grau-violette Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. 

Der Aufleger besteht aus einem Stück grau-blauen Cardstock, in den ich in die Mitte ein Wolkenfenster gestanzt habe. Das habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Cloudy Sky Set von HeroArts gemacht und Partial DieCutting angewendet um ein Fenster zu gestalten, ohne über den Rand hinaus zu stanzen.

Obenauf kamen dann kleine hellblau-graue Wolken, die ich mit Stanzen aller möglicher Hersteller gemacht habe. Außerdem habe ich Sterne aus dem selben Glitter-Cardstock, mit dem ich den Hintergrund hinterlegt habe, gestanzt und zwischen den Wolken verteilt.

Den hellen Cardstock habe ich am Rand mit etwas Distress Oxide Faded Jeans und Stormy Sky gewischt und außerdem mit einem weißen Gelstift einen Rahmen aufgemalt.

The "mechanism" I cut from dark purple cardstock. I die cut the Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop from LawnFawn from the same cardstock and put some silver-blue metallic cardstock behind it. Then I added splatters of grey-violett metallic watercolor.

The top layer is made from a piece of grey-blue cardstock, that I cut a cloud window from the center. I die cut that with a die from the Cloudy Sky set by HeroArts, doing partial die cutting to create a window without cutting over the edges of the cardstock. On top I put some small light blue-grey clouds, that I made using dies by all kind of brands. I also die cut stars from the same glitter cardstock that I backed the background with and put them between the clouds.

The edges of the light cardstock I inked lightly with Distress Oxide Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky and also drew a frame with a white gel pen.

Als Motiv habe ich mich für eines der Nordic Bunnies von PoppyStamps entschieden und die Teile aus Cardstock in weiß und verschiedenen Lilatönen gestanzt. Da die Deko eine komplette Stanze ist, hatte ich jeweils mehrere und habe daher diese Teile jeweils aufgedoppelt. Und einen der hell-lila Kreise, die eigentlich das Schwänzchen darstellen, habe ich als Backe mit aufs Gesicht geklebt. Die gestanzte Linie für das Auge habe ich mit einem schwarzen Fineliner nachgemalt und eine Nase mit einem schwarzen Glaze Pen hinzugefügt.

An eines der Ohren des Hasen habe ich eine Schleife aus weißem Twine gebunden. Außerdem habe ich auf den dunklen Teil des "Kragens" kleine weiße Perlen aufgeklebt. Auch auf das Schwänzchen kam eine große weiße Perle.

Den Text habe ich mit Versafine Clair Fantasia auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt - der kleinere Untertext ist aus dem Itty Bitty Baby Stempelset von MFT. Das Hello Baby ist mit dem Henry's Build a Sentiment Spring Set von LawnFawn gemacht. Da es in dem Set kein Hello gibt, habe ich das aus Teilen anderer Stempel zusammengesetzt.

As the image I went with one of the Nordic Bunnies by PoppyStamps and die cut the pieces from cardstock in white and different shades of purple. Sind the decorations are one complete die I had several of each color and so I doubled those pieces up. And one of the light purple circles that usually create the bunny's tail I glued as a cheek onto the face. I re-drew the eye line that gets cut into the cardstock with a black fineliner and added a nose with a black Glaze Pen. 

To one of the bunny's ears I tied a bow from white twone. I also put tiny white pearls onto the dark part of the "collar" and a large one onto the tail.

The text I stamped with Versafine Clair Fantasia onto white carstock - the smaller subtext is from the Itty Bitty Baby set by MFT. The Hello Baby I made with the Henry's Build a Sentiment Spring set by LawnFawn. Since there is no hello in this set I used parts of others texts from the sets to create it.

Und hier könnt Ihr die Tiefe der Karte besser sehen. Der Cardstock mit dem Fenster poppt beim Entnehmen aus dem Umschlag auf und auch der Hase mit dem Hello Baby stehen auf, allerdings sind sie so hinterlegt, dass sie höher aufstehen als der Rahmen. Das sorgt nochmal für eine extra Lage. Den kleineren Text habe ich am Rahmen angeklebt.

Die kleineren Wolken habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt, drumherum habe ich noch ein paar klare Glitzersteine verteilt.

And here you get a better look at the depth of this card. The cardstock with the window pops up when you take it out of the envelope and also the bunny and the hello baby text do that, but they are backed so they stand even higher than the frame. That creates an extra level. The smaller text I adhered to the cloud frame.

I put thin foam tape behind the smaller clouds and scattered a few clear rhinestones around them. 

Ein kleines Dankeschön

Ich liebe es ja, viele Elemente auf meine Karten zu packen. Da diese Dankekarte, die ich heute auf dem Stampcorner Blog zeige, aber für eine 80jährige Dame gedacht ist, habe ich mich etwas zurückgehalten.

I love to put lots of elements onto my card. But since this thank you card, that I'm sharing on the Stampcorner Blog today, is made for an 80 year old lady I decided to keep it a bit more on the simpler side.

Hier kam der  neue Stencil #47 zum Einsatz. Ich habe ihn aber nicht gewischt, sonder mit Hilfe einer Silikonmatte in ein Stück weißen Cardstock geprägt. So macht er den Hintergrund interessanter, ohne zu viel Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zu ziehen. Damit die Prägung auch schön tief wird, habe ich den Cardstock von hinten mit ein wenig Wasser besprüht.

Here I used a new stencil. I didn't ink it but used a silicone mat to dry emboss the pattern into a piece of white cardstock. This adds some interest to the background without taking too much attentation from the image. To make sure the embossing turns out crisp and a bit deeper I misted the back of the cardstock with some water.

Aus dem weißen Cardstock habe ich - noch vor dem Prägen - ein Herz ausgestanzt. Ich wollte ein eher rundes Herz und habe einfach die Piece of my Heart Stanze von MFT genommen, ich brauchte ja nur die Außenlinien. 

Da der Stencil, mit dem ich den weißen Cardstock geprägt habe, ja ein Korbflechtmuster darstellt, wollte ich das  Gewobene nochmal irgendwie aufgreifen. Also habe ich erst ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Distress Oxide Lumberjack Plaid, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade und Wild Honey gewischt und dieses Cardstockstück dann in Streifen geschnitten. Die habe ich dann miteinander verwoben. Allerdings war mir das Ergebnis viel zu intensiv in der Farbe. Da ich bereits einige Zeit in das Element gesteckt hatte, wollte ich es gerne "retten" - und habe einfach ein feuchtes Tuch einige Mal aufgedrückt. Durch den Oxidationseffekt der Oxides wurden die Farben so abgeschwächt.

Als Motiv wollte ich gerne Blumen und habe mich für die Lilien des Blumen Mini Stempels entschieden. Lilien werden ja gerne als Friedhofsblumen angesehen, also war ich kurz skeptisch angesichts des Alters er Empfängerin. Aber dann habe ich sie in fröhlichem orange und pink coloriert, und so sehen sie definitiv nicht mehr nach Beerdigung aus. Zum Colorieren habe ich Copics benutzt und Details mit einem braunen Fineliner sowie einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. Einen Teil des Motives habe ich rechts unten an das Herz geklebt, eine einzelne Blume oberhalb meines Textes auf der linken Seite.

Der Text ist mit dem neuen Stempelset Liebevoll gemacht und mit weißem Embossingpulver auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst. Nun, Ihr kennt mich inzwischen, ich habe da immer so meine eigenen Vorstellungen. Im Set ist zwar ein "ein kleines Dankeschön für Dich" Text enthalten, der passte aber von der Größe her nicht auf meine Karte. Also habe ich nur das Ende dieses Stempels verwendet und den Rest des Textes mit weiteren Stempeln aus dem Set kreiert. 

 

Before I did the dry embossing I cut a heart from the white cardstock. I wanted some kind of rounded one so I used the Piece of my Heart die by MFT since I only needed the outlines.

The stencil I used for the dry embossing has a woven pattern and I wanted to pick this up again somehow. So I inked a piece of white cardstock with Distress Oxide Lumberjack Plaid, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey and cut the cardstock into strips. Then I created a woven piece out of those strips. Well, the result was way too colorful for what I had in mind. But I had already put quite some time into it and wanted to "save" it. So I pressed a lightly wet paper towel several times onto it and that softened the colors due to the oxidation effect those inks create when misted with water.

For my image I wanted some flowers and decided to use the lily image from the Blumen Minis set. Lillies often are named "cemetry flowers" here and so I was a bit unsure if those are the right ones for a card for an 80 year old lady. But then I colored them in a happy orange and pink and now they definately don't look like flowers for a funeral anymore. I used Copics for my coloring and added some details with a brown fineliner and a white gel pen. I adhered part of the image to the bottom right of the heart and a single flower above the text on the left side.

The text means "a little thank you for you". I white heat embossed it onto black cardstock.

Rund um das herzförmige Fenster habe ich ein klein wenig hellgoldene Metallic Watercolor aufgespritzt. Dann habe ich das gewebte Element mit dünnem 3D Tape hinter den weißen Cardstock geklebt und die restlichen Elemente, teilweise ebenfalls mit 3D Tape, hinzugefügt. Als Deko habe ich einige rosegoldene Pailetten aufgeklebt und dann alles auf einem rosafarbenen Kartenrohling befestigt.

 

I splattered some light gold metallic watercolor onto my white cardstock - only around the heart shaped window. Then I used thin foam tape to attach the woven piece behind the window and added the other elements, again using foam tape behind a few of them. I glued down some rose gold sequins as embellishments and then adhered the cardstock to a pink note card.

Vor kurzem habe ich das Stempelset Deliver Spring Happiness von MamaElephant hervorgeholt, eigentlich wegen eines ganz anderen Motivs. Aber dann sah mich da das kleine Einhorn zwischen all den Farbtöpfen an und da war plötzlich dieses Bild in meinem Kopf. Naja, und nachdem die andere Kartenidee sowieso noch nicht ganz ausgereift war, habe ich kurzerhand diese Karte gewerkelt.

A little ago I brought out the Deliver Spring Happiness stamp set by MamaElephant, originally for a different image from the set. But then this little unicorn looked at me from between all those paint tins and all of a sudden there was this picture in my head. Well, since the other card idea wasn't fully finished in my head I changed my mind and made this card instead.

 

 Für mich gehören Regenbogenfarben und Einhörner einfach zusammen. Und so ist es kein Wunder, dass ich hier einen Regenbogen-Hintergrund gestaltet habe. Allerdings nicht vollflächig. Ich habe mit meinen ZIG-Markern einige Flecken auf ein Stück Watercolor Cardstock gemalt und die dann mit Wasser besprüht, so dass sie ineinander verlaufen. 

Nun, ich muss gestehen, dass dieser Hintergrund Versuch Nummer 3 war... Beim ersten hatte ich zuviel Farbe aufgemalt und zuviel Wasser aufgespritzt und alles verlief zu sehr ineinander. Versuch Nummer 2 war mir dann zu fleckig, weil ich erstmal mit nur ganz wenig Farbe gearbeitet und nach dem Trocknen eine weitere Schicht aufgetragen hatte. Beim Besprühen wurde aber natürlich auch die erste Farbschicht angelöst und es gab große helle Ränder. Aber wisst Ihr was, das war gar nicht so schlimm. Aus den "unschönen" Hintergründen habe ich dann einfach die Kleckse ausgestanzt. 

Auf den "richtigen" Hintergrund habe ich noch etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

To me unicorns just can't go without rainbows. So it's no wonder that I created a rainbow colored background here, but not a full panel. I scribbled some color with my ZIG markers onto a piece of watercolor cardstock and then sprayed it with water to make the colors run into each other.

Well, I have to admit that this was my third try... On the first background I had used too much color and water and everything just run into each other way more than I had planned. My second try was too splotchy. I had added just a bit of color and after it had dried I added another layer. But when spraying this with water of course it also solved the color of the first layer and there were big white edges around the color. But guess what, it wasn't the end of the world! From the "not so nice" background I simply die cut the color splotches later.

Onto the "right" background I flicked some white acrylic paint.

Das süße Einhorn habe ich mit Copics coloriert und dahinter nochmal das zusätzliche Glas voller Pinsel gelegt. Natürlich darf bei einem Einhorn auch Glitzer nicht fehlen. Also habe ich die Mähne, das Horn und den Schweif mit Stickles beglittert. Und die Farben an den Farbdosen habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Die Kleckse habe ich, wie schon erwähnt, aus den misslgückten Hintergründen gestanzt. Dabei kamen Stanzen aus dem Set Art Supplies von LawnFawn, Painter's Palette von Spellbinders sowie die große Klecksstanze, die ich leider gerade überhaupt nicht zuordnen kann, verwendet. Ich habe alle zusätzlich aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und die bunten Kleckse damit hinterlegt, damit sie sich besser vom Hintergrund abheben.

I colored the cute unicorn with Copics and laid the additional glass with the brushes behind the main image. Of course there has to be some glitter when there is an unicorn involved. So I put Stickles onto the mane, tail and horn. Onto the colors, that have dripped out of the paint cans, I put a layer of Glossy Accents.

As I already mentioned, did I use the backgrounds I wasn't happy with to die cut some splotches from. I used dies from the Art Supplies set by LawnFawn, Painter's Palette by Spellbinders and that large splotch die, that I really can't tell at the moment where it comes from. I also die cut all the splotches from black cardstock and layered the colored ones with them to make them stand out more from the background.

Auch die Buchstaben des Wortes Color habe ich aus den missglückten Hintergründen gestanzt. Ich habe dafür das Lemons Alpha Set von Create a Smile verwendet und die Schattenlagen wieder aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt. Dann habe ich auch die Buchstaben habe ich mit Glossy Accents überzogen.

Also the letters for the word color I die cut form the left over backgrounds. I used the Lemons Alpha die set by Create a Smile here and cut the shadow layers from black cardstock again. Then I covered the colorful letters with Glossy Accents as well.

Für den Rest des Textes habe ich das Stempelset Color von HoneyBeeStamps benutzt. Das Wort Full musste ich dabei mit zwei verschiedenen Stempeln zusammensetzen, aber ich wollte es unbedingt im Text haben. Der Text ist weiß auf schwarzen Cardstock embosst.

For the rest of the text I used the Color stamp set by HoneyBeeStamps. I had to create the word Full by combining two stamps from the set but I really wanted to have it in my text. I white heat embossed them onto black cardstock.

Das Einhorn habe ich mit dünnem 3D Tape auf den Farbklecks geklebt, dann habe ich alles mit dickem 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt. Auch hinter den mittelgroßen Klecksen befindet sich dickes 3D Tape, hinter den kleinen, dem Text und den gestanzten Buchstaben dann wieder dünnes 3D Tape. 

Auf der Karte habe ich dann einige in Regenbogenfarben irisierende Perlen verteilt, den Cardstock schwarz gemattet und alles auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

 

I adhered the unicorn image with thin foam tape to the large color splotch, then attached these elements with thick foam tape to the background. Also behind the middle sizes splotches I used thick foam tape, behind the small ones, the text and the die cut letters I put some thin one again.

I added some rhinestones, that sparkle in rainbow colors, to my card panel, then matted it black and adhered everything to a white note card.

 

Eine Geburtstagskarte im Retro-Look

Die Zen Circles Hotfoil-Plate von HeroArts durfte bei mir einziehen - und sie erinnert mich an Schallplatten. Und so ist dann diese Geburtstagskarte im Retro-Look entstanden.

I got myself the Zen Circles hotfoil plate by HeroArts - and it reminds me of vinyls. That's how the idea for this birthday card in a retro look was born. 

Schallplatten waren ja besonders in den 70ern und 80ern in. Wie gut, dass die 70er-Jahrgänge gerade runde Geburtstage feiern. Und so ist das komplette Design der Karte diesem Jahrzehnt gewidmet - oder auch geschuldet....

Die Hotfoil-Plate habe ich mit orangefarbener Folie auf weißen Cardstock foliert. Dann habe ich den Layered Starburst Stencil von PinkFresh benutzt und die Strahlen aufgewischt. Dabei habe ich aber nur zwei der Stencils verwendet, um mit Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina und Broken China Strahlen aufzuwischen. Der dritte Stencil hätte diese Bereiche partiell überlappt, ich wollte aber kein Grün im Hintergrund. Also habe ich die schon gewischten Bereiche mit Kopierpapier abgedeckt und die noch weißen Strahlen mit Distress Oxide Antique Linen gewischt.

Vinyls were used mostly during the 70ies and 80ies. What a good thing, that those born in the 70ies are celebrating milestone birthdays now. And so the whole design of this card is dedicated to this decade...

I used orange foil to hotfoil the Zen Circles onto white cardstock. Then I used the Layered Starburst Stencil by PinkFresh to ink the rays onto the cardstock. But I only used two of the three stencils to add rays with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina and Broken China. The third stencil would partly have covered those areas and I didn't want to end up with green rays. So I covered the already inked areas with copy paper and inked the still white rays with Distress Oxide Antique Linen.

Die Schallplatte habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem For the Record Set von MFT gemacht. Die Platte selbst ist aus glänzend-schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, das Label habe ich aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und dann mit Distress Oxide Rusty Hinge eingefärbt. Und wie es der Zufall will, passen die Texte aus dem Vinyl Greetings Set von Create a Smile ganz knapp darauf. Also habe ich mit schwarzer Tinte "happy birthday to you" aufgestempelt.

Und zum Design der Karte passten natürlich genau die Disco Alphabete und Zahlen von A Pocket Full of Happiness. Damit habe ich eine 50 sowie das Wort Party geschrieben. Die vollflächige untere Lage habe ich dabei wieder aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt, den ich mit Rusty Hinge eingefärbt habe, die obere Lage besteht aus silbernem Holographic-Cardstock.

Als Unterlage für die Zahl 50 habe ich mit einer Sprechblasen-Stanze von WhimsyStamps eine weiße "Blase" gestanzt und darauf die Zahlen mit dünnem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

The vinyl is made using dies from the For the Record die set by MFT. The vinyl I've cut from black glossy cardstock, the label from regular white cardstock that I then inked with Distress Oxide Rusty Hinge. And what a happy coincidence that the texts from the Vinyl Greetings set by Create a Smile just fits the label of the vinyl die. So I used a "happy birthday to you" text from this set and stamped it onto my label.

And of course the Disco alphabet and nunber die sets by A Pocket Full of Happiness go perfectly with the design of my card. I used those to die cut a 50 and the word party. The solid bottom layer I cut from white cardstock and inked the pieces with Rusty Hinge, for the top layers I used some silver holographic cardstock.

I needed something under the 50 so I die cut a white "bubble" from the speech bubbles die set by WhimsyStamps and adhered the numbers with thin foam tape onto it.

Die Buchstaben für das Wort Party waren zu breit um nebeneinander auf die Karte zu passen. Also habe ich sie leicht überlappen aufeinander geklebt.

Für die kleinen gestempelten Texte, die das Wort Party komplettieren, habe ich Stempel aus dem Set Bitty Birthday Wishes von MFT verwendet und sie einfach mit schwarzer Tinte auf Streifen weißen Cardstocks gestempelt.

Zum Schluss habe ich noch ein Stück weißen Cardstocks mit Antique Linen eingefärbt und daraus einige kleine Sterne als Deko gestanzt.

The letters for the word party were to wide to fit next to each other on my card. So I glued them together slightly overlapping.

For the smaller texts, that complete the word party, I used stamps from the Bitty Birthday Wishes set by MFT and simply stamped them with black ink onto strips of white cardstock.

Then I also inked a piece of white cardstock with Antique Linen and die cut some small stars from it to use as decoration.

Zum Zusammensetzender Karte habe ich dann wieder 3D Tape benutzt - dünnes hinter der Schallplatte und den gestempelten Textstreifen und dickes hinter dem Wort Party. Die ausgestanzten Sternchen habe ich dann auf der Karte verteilt.

Ich habe meinen fertig dekorierten Cardstock schwarz gemattet und dann alles auf einem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt. 

To put my card together I used foam tape again - thin one behind the record and the white text strips and thick one behind the word party. Then I added the die cut stars.

I matted the decorated card panel black and adhered it to a white note card.

Christine's Wochenend-Aufgabe

Immer wieder mal gibt es in der FB-Gruppe von Create a Smile eine Wochenend-Mitmachaktion. Jetzt war es wieder soweit und diesmal gab es die Farbkombi "gold-gelb, kraft und aqua" als Aufgabe. Das ist meine Idee dazu.

Every now and then in the Create a Smile FB group they are doing some kind of a challenge over the weekend. Now was the time again, and the theme was the color combo of "golden yellow, kraft and aqua". This is what I came up with.

Der Frühling ist ja nun endlich da und so habe ich diese Geburtstagskarte mit Frühlingsblumen-Strauß gewerkelt.

Der Hintergrund besteht aus einem Stück kraft farbenen Cardstock, auf den ich mit Versamark Strahlen aufgewischt habe. Auf die nasse Tinte habe ich dann goldenes Perfect Pearls aufgetupft. Über die Strahlen habe ich mit weißer Stempelfarbe den Freude und Jubel Hintergrund gestempelt und anschließend noch hell- und dunkeltürkis farbene Spritzer mit Metallic Watercolor aufgetragen.

Spring is finally here and so I made this birthday card with a spring flower bouquet.

The background I made from a piece of kraft colored cardstock, that I inked some rays onto with Versamark ink. Onto the wet ink I dabbed some gold Perfect Pearls. Onto the rays I stamped the Freude und Jubel text background with white pigment ink and then added splatters with light and dark aqua metallic watercolor.

Mein Blumenstrauß besteht aus kraftfarenen Cosmeen, Goldmohn, helltürkisen Gänseblümchen und etwas dunkler türkisen Blüten. Ich habe Stempel aus den Sets Blatt und Blüte, Pure Poppies, Cosmea und Heute wird Gut verwendet.

Alle sind mit Copics in NoLine Coloring Technik coloriert. Die Details wie die Strahlen in den Mohnblüten habe ich mit Polychromos aufgemalt und außerdem Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift gemacht.

In der oberen rechten Ecke befindet sich ein Teil meines Textes. Ich habe ihn mit brauner Tinte auf gelben Cardstock gestempelt und den Cardstock mit Copics passend zu den Goldmohnblüten schattiert.

My bouque is made from kraft colored cosmeas, gold poppies, light aqua daisies and some darker aqua flowers. I used stamps from the sets Blatt und Blüte, Pure Poppies, Cosmea und Heute wird Gut.

I did all flowers with Copics in a noline coloring technique. The details like the centers of the poppies I drew in with Polychromos and also added some Highlights with a white gel pen.

In the top right corner I placed part of my text, it means "birthday flowers". I stamped it with brown ink onto yellow cardstock and then used Copics to shade the cardstock to match the poppies.

Hier seht Ihr die restlichen Blüten. Ich habe sie alle mit der Schere ausgeschnitten und zu einem Blumenstrauß zusammen gesetzt. Dafür habe ich einige zusätzliche Stiele hinzugefügt.

Und an die Stiele habe ich dann den zweiten Teil meines Textes angebracht. Er ist genauso wie der Text oben auf der Karte aus dem Set Heute wird Gut und ebenso auf gelben und dann schattierten Cardstock gestempelt. Dann habe ich ihn mit einem der Banner aus dem Useful Bannners Set ausgestanzt, der mich von der Form her an ein Tag erinnert hat. Ich habe es durch Partial Die Cutting etwas gekürzt und ein kleines Loch hineingestanzt. Dort habe ich dann eine Schleife aus weißem Twine angebunden und alles auf die Stiele geklebt, so dass es so aussieht, als wäre der Tag dort angebunden.

Here you see the rest of the flowers. I cut all of them out with my scissors and created a bouquet with them. I added a few extra stems at the bottom.

To the stems I added the rest of my text - it means "for you". Just like the text on the top of the card it is from the Heute wird Gut stamp set and again I stamped it onto yellow and then shaded cardstock. I used one of the banners from the Useful Banners die set, that reminded me of a tag, to cut the text out and did some partial die cutting to make it a bit shorter. I punched a little hole in the tag and tied a bow from white twine through it. Then I adhered it on top of the stems, making it look like it's tied to them.

Irgendwie passte mein Strauß noch nicht so recht zum Hintergrund. Also habe ich ein wenig des Perfect Pearls Pulvers mit Wasser verrührt und über die Blumen gespritzt.

Den Strauß habe ich dann mit 3D Tape auf den Hintergrund geklebt, der übrigens absichtlich so geschnitten ist, dass mehr vom weißen Karterohling sichtbar ist und einige der Blumen darüber hinausstehen. Die beiden Texte sind mit dünnem 3D Tape hinterlegt.

Zum Schluss habe ich alles noch auf dem weißen Kartenrohling befestigt.

Somehow my bouquet didn't go with the background enough. So I mixed a bit of the Perfect Pearls powder with water and splattered it onto the flowers.

I used foam tape to adhere the bouquet to the background. This, btw, is cut in a size so more of the white card base is visible and some flowers hang over it on purpose. Behind the two texts I put some thin foam tape.

Then I just put everything onto the note card.

Eine Karte zum bestandenen Führerschein

Ich wurde gebeten, eine Karte zum bestandenen Führerschein zu machen. Und es durfte gerne lustig sein. Na, da fällt mir doch was ein. Was, zeige ich Euch heute mit dieser Karte.

I was asked to make a card for a girl that just got her driving license. And a funny card was welcome. Well, of course I had an idea for that! And this is the card I came up with.

Irgendwie ganz von selbst hat die Karte einen ziemlichen Comic-Touch bekommen.

Ich habe den Comic Burst von WhimsyStamps aus rotem Cardstockst gestanzt, dann das aus der Mitte herausgestanzte Teil auf ein Stück schwarzen Cardstocks gelegt, nachgefahren und per Hand ausgeschnitten. So war zwar das Fenster ausgeschnitten, die kleinen Elemente drumherum aber nicht. Das rote Stanzteil habe ich mit Distress Ink Aged Mahogany und Black Soot entlang der äußeren Kanten abgedunkelt und dann die beiden Teile leicht versetzt aufeinander geklebt.

Da der Comic Burst ja ein amerikanisches Format hat, habe ich noch den Slimline Film Strip aus schwarzem Cardstock ausgeschnitten, längs halbiert und je einen Streifen später links und rechts entlang meines Kartenrohlings aufgeklebt. Durch ein weiteres Element am unteren Ende der Karte konnte ich den Comic Burst Hintergrund etwas nach oben schieben und so passte alles dann auch auf eine Din-formatige Karte.

While I was putting all my elements together, the card got a heavy comic touch.

I die cut the Comic Burst by WhimsyStamps from red cardstock, then put the cut out center onto a piece of black cardstock, traced it and cut it out. This way I had the window cut out, but not the smaller elements around it. I used Distress Ink Aged Mahogany and Black Soot to ink the edges of the red die cut, then glued both pieces together a bit offset.

Since the Comic Burst is an american sized die I die cut the Slimline Flim Strip from black cardstock, cut it in half and later added one strip along the edges of my card base. Due to another element at the bottom of the card I was able to move the Comic Burst background up a bit and this way everything fit a Din sized card.

In das Fenster habe ich dann eine Stadt gebaut. Die Häuser sind mit der City Block Stanze von MFT gemacht - ich habe sie in drei Teile geschnitten und etwas enger zusammengerückt wieder zusammengeklebt. Dabei habe ich die Häuser rechts auf den Kopf gelegt, so passte es besser. Die Fenster habe ich mit weißem Cardstock hinterlegt. 

Als Himmel habe ich ein Stück weißen Cardstocks erst mit Distress Ink Mustard Seed gewischt und dann mit Wild Honey Strahlen darauf gewischt. 

Behind the window I built a city. The skyline is made using the City Block die by MFT - I cut it into three pieces and put it together again, moving the elements a bit closer together. The houses on the right I also flipped to the other side, they just looked better like this. Behind the windows I glued some white cardstock. 

For the sky I inked a piece o white cardstock with Distress Ink Mustard Seed, then added rays with Wild Honey.

Vor das Fenster habe ich erst eine Straße gesetzt. Die ist mit der On the Road Stanze von LawnFawn aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, den Mittelstreifen habe ich weiß hinterlegt. Und das untere Ende der Straße verdeckt den unteren Rand des roten Cardstocks, so dass gar nicht auffällt, dass der kürzer ist. 

Und auf der Straße ist natürlich mein Motiv unterwegs. Ich habe dieses Digi "Jill Driving" von Mo Manning vor einigen Jahren, als unsere Mädels den Führerschein gemacht haben, gekauft und jetzt kam er wieder zum Einsatz. Ich habe ihn in der passenden Größe ausgedruckt und mit Copics coloriert. Hinten ins Auto habe ich noch ein Fenster geschnitten, durch das man die Stadt dahinter nochmal sehen kann. Auf das Nummernschild habe ich später noch den Namen geschrieben.

Und ein paar Verkehrszeichen durften auch nicht fehlen. Die Ampel und das Stoppschild sind aus dem Across the Miles Stempelset von PrettyPinkPosh, das Vorfahrt Achten aus dem Kanga-Riffic Set von LawnFawn. An die Ampel und das Stoppschild habe ich die Stanze des Zeichens von LawnFawn gestempelt, damit alle schön zusammenpassen.

Unter unter dem Auto war dann noch Platz für einen Text. Den habe ich am PC geschrieben und ausgedruckt, weil ich tatsächlich keinen passenden Stempel habe....

In front of the window I first glued a road. I die cut it from black cardstock using the On the Road die by LawnFawn, behind the middle line I put some white cardstock. And the bottom covers the bottom edge of the red cardstock so no one will see that it is actually shorter.

And on the road I placed the image. I bought this "Jill Driving" digi by MoManning a few years ago when our daughters got their license and now I finally was able to use it again. I printed it in the size I needed it and colored it with Copics. In the back of the car I cut a window so you can see the city behind it through it. Later I also added the name to the license plate.

And I also needed a few street signs. The traffic lights and stopp sign are from the Across the Miles stamp set by PrettyPinkPosh, the other sign is from the Kanga-Riffic set by LawnFawn. I stamped the post of the sign by LawnFawn under the stopp sign and traffic light to make them all match.

And under the car there was room for my text. It means "save travels everytime" and I wrote it on my PC and printed it out because I actually didn't have a stamp saying it.

Oben an den rechten Rand des Fensters im roten Cardstock habe ich noch eine "Zackenblase" mit einem Hurra darin angebracht. Die Blase habe ich mit einer Stanze aus dem Comic Speech Bubbles Set von WhimsyStamps aus weißem und aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt und versetzt aufeinander geklebt. Das Hurra darauf ist mit dem Bubble Alpha Set von CCDesigns gemacht. Auch hier habe ich die Buchstaben aus schwarzem und weißem Cardstock gestanzt und versetzt aufeinander geklebt. Auf die weißen Buchstaben habe ich dann noch mit schwarzer Tinte und dem Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Stempel von MFT Punkte aufgestempelt und außerdem gelbe Linien aufgemalt. Als Deko habe ich noch drei Sternchen, die ich mit der Comic Burst Stanze aus gelbem Cardstock gestanzt habe, aufgeklebt.

To the top right edge of the window cut into the red cardstock I added a "spiky bubble" with a hooray in it. I cut the bubble from white and black cardstock using a die from the Comic Speech Bubbles set by WhimsyStamps and put them together a bit off. The hooray on top is made with the Bubble Alpha set by CCDesings. Again I cut the letters from white and black cardstock and stacked them a bit offset. Onto the white letters I stamped some dots with black ink and the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots stamp by MFT and drew some lines with a yellow marker. As decoration I added three yellow stars, cut simply using the Comic Burst background die again.

Zum Zusammensetzen der Karte habe ich 3D Tape benutzt - und die Karte ist ordentlich hoch geworden. Das war aber absichtlich so gemacht - ich wollte unbedingt, dass der Rahmen erhöht auf dem Hintergrund ist und die Straße nochmal einen Tacken höher. Na und wenn schon, denn schon, habe ich dann auch den Text und die Zackenblase nochmal mit 3D Tape aufgeklebt....

To put the card together I used foam tape - and it ended up quite thick. But that was on purpose - I really wanted the frame to have some distance to the background and the road be even higher. Oh well, and while I was at it I put foam tape also behind the text and the spiky bubble.

Und hier ist der Grund, warum die Karte so hoch ausfallen sollte: ich habe einen Action Wobbler hinter das Auto geklebt. Die finde ich so toll, aber ich finde es immer etwas doof, wenn das Motiv so viel höher als alle anderen Elemente ist. Ich habe den Wobbler hinten auf die Stadt geklebt - die Straße habe ich oben ein wenig gekürzt - und so ist das Auto zwar immer noch das höchste Element auf der Karte, es ist aber nur minimal höher als der Text darunter. 

And here's the reason why I wanted my card to be that high: I put an Action Wobbler behind the car. I love them, but I always find ich kind of strange when the image is so much higher than all the other elements on the card. I put the Action Wobbler onto the houses in the background - I cut off the top of the road to make it fit - and this way the car is still the highest element on the card, but it's only a little bit higher than the text under it.

Eine Karte mit Kamel

 

Hallo Ihr Lieben!

Heute zeige ich auf dem Stampcorner Blog eine weitere Karte mit einem Motiv aus dem Stempelset Guckst Du! aus dem April-Release. Und das war sogar das erste Motiv aus dem Set, das ich coloriert habe. Dann aber fehlte mir die zündende Idee. Zum Glück kam mir die dann doch noch und das Ergebnis seht Ihr hier.

Today over on the Stampcorner Blog I am sharing another card with an image from the Guckst Du! stamp set from the april release. Actually, this was the first image from the set I colored. But then I didn't know what to do with it. Luckily the right idea came a bit later, and you can see here what that idea was.

 

 Mir war von vornherein klar, dass dieses Kamel irgendwo in der Wüste stehen musste. Aber nur Sanddünen und Himmel, das war mir zu fad. Dann aber fiel mir das Little Town of Bethlehem Stanzenset von MFT ein, und das war doch perfekt!

Zuerst aber habe ich den Hintergrund gewischt. Die untere Hälfte habe ich mit Distress Oxide Antique Linen und Ground Espresso gewischt und etwas von dem Ground Espresso, mit ein wenig Wasser vermischt, dort aufgespritzt.

Für die obere Hälfte habe ich erst einen 1" Kreis aus Masking Tape gestanzt und auf den Cardstock geklebt. Den Bereich drumherum habe ich mit Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire und Festive Berries gewischt. Dann habe ich das Masking Tape abgenommen und die Sonne mit Scattered Straw ausgefüllt. 

Über den kompletten Cardstock habe ich dann noch etwas weiße Acrylfarbe aufgespritzt. 

I knew from the beginning that I wanted to place this camel somewhere in the dessert. But just some dunes and a sky sounded too boring. Then I remembered the Little Town of Bethlehem die set by MFT and that was perfect!

But first I created the background. I inked the lower half with Distress Oxide Antique Linen and Ground Espresso and then splattered some of the Ground Espresso, mixed with a bit of water, onto the sand. 

For the upper half I first die cut a 1" circle from masking tape and glued it onto the cardstock. Then I inked the area around it with Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire and Festive Berries. I removed the masking tape and filled the sun with Scattered Straw.

Onto the whole cardstock I added splatters with white acrylic paint.

Die orientalische Wüstenstadt ist dann mit dem schon erwähnten Little Town of Bethlehem Stanzenset von MFT gemacht. Ich habe die Teile aus weißem Cardstock gestanzt und mit Distress Oxide Antique Linen, Rusty Hinge und Gathered Twigs gewischt. Auch hier habe ich wieder ein wenig Ground Espresso und weiße Acrylfarbe für ein wenig Textur aufgespritzt.

Hinter die Fenster habe ich schwarzen Cardstock geklebt. Und damit die Stadt etwas interessanter wirkt, habe ich Palmen davor und zwischen den Häuserreihen verteilt. Die hier sind mit den Palm Tree Border Stanzen von LawnFawn aus schwarzem Cardstock gemacht. Die hatte ich einfach da und sie passten von der Größe her gut. Auf die Palmen habe ich mit einem goldenen Gelstift einige Lichtreflexe gemalt.

Dann habe ich die verschiedenen Lagen der Stadt auf den Hintergrund geklebt.

I die cut the pieces from white cardstock and inked them with Distress Oxide Antique Linen, Rusty Hinge and Gathered Twigs. Again I added splatters with Ground Espresso and white acrylic paint to give the town some texture. 

Behind the windows I put black cardstock. And to make the town look a bit more interesting I put palm trees in front of it and between the rows of houses. I used the Palm Tree Border die by LawnFawn here to cut the trees from black cardstock. I had them at hand and they were prefect in size. I drew some light reflections onto the palm trees with a gold gel pen.

Then I glued the different layers of the town onto the background.

Im Vordergrund der Karte, unter einer großen Palme, ist dann endlich das Kamel von OmaPlott zu sehen. Ich habe es mit Copics coloriert und Highlights mit einem weißen Gelstift aufgemalt. 

Die große Palme hinter dem Kamel ist wieder aus schwarzem Cardstock gestanzt, diesmal habe ich eine Stanze aus dem Beach Scene Builder Set von MFT verwendet. 

Und dann fehlte noch ein Text. Ich fand den "du bist lustig - und ich pass durchs Nadelöhr" Text so genial. Aber womit kombinieren? Da fiel mir das Wort Urlaub? von einem der anderen Textstempel aus dem Set ins Auge. Na, das passt doch... Da ich keine passende Sprechblasenstanze hatte, in die alle Texte passen, habe ich sie auf zwei Blasen verteilt und die zusammengeklebt. Außerdem habe ich sie mit schwarzem Cardstock hinterlegt. Die Spitze, die zum Mund führt, ist ein Extrastück, das ich von hinten angeklebt habe.

Die Texte habe ich ganz einfach mit Versafine Clair Nocturne auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt.

And in the foreground, under a large palm tree, there's the camel by OmaPlott. I colored it with Copics and added highlights with a white gel pen.

The large palm tree behind the camel is again die cut from black cardstock, this time I used a die from the Beach Scene Builder set by MFT. 

And then my card needed a text. I loved this one - you're funny and I go through the eye of a needle - but what should I combine it with. Then I saw another text from the set that started with Vacation?. That should work! Since I didn't have a speech bubble die that had room for all the texts I simply cut two speech bubbles and put them together. I put some black speech bubbles behind them and added the tip that faces towards the camel's mouth.

I simpyl stamped the texts with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto white cardstock.

Da die Häuser im Hintergrund durch die vielen Lagen bereits erhöht sind, habe ich die Palme im Vordergrund mit dünnem und das Kamel mit dickem 3D Tape aufgeklebt.

Dann habe ich den dekorierten Cardstock schwarz gemattet und auf einen weißen Kartenrohling geklebt.

Since the houses in the background are already quite high due to all the layers I've attached the palm in the foreground with thin, the camel with thick foam tape.

Then I matted the card panel black and adhered it to a white note card.
